Striated

(keywords: hills fields england english landscape)



Oil on hardboard 8" x 8"

I haven't been able to find a really good definition for that word "Striated" but I think it means striped or wavy. Just how the earth looks sometimes.

It's wonderful how the different direction of your brushstrokes in the foreground directs up into the wonderful warmth of the striation.(I've wandered your series of landscapes and they are all very beautiful, Sheila!
