Morning on an empty street

Oil on hardboard 8" x 8"

This is Market Street, one of the main streets in Stalybridge. I have had to simplify the buildings quite a lot but anyone who lives here may be able to recognise at least some of them. There is the white house on the hills at the back, sitting all alone. I sometimes walked up there with the dog - a bit of a trek!

Hi Sheila,

Nice moody light and cloud formation in this one, then the little perfect
house on the hill. A glorious painting.

Take care,

Barbara

Hi Sheila,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments on my two pieces. I really like your paintings. They are so fresh! As you could probably see, I haven't been doing too much lately. A major block, plus family complications - but I'm getting back into it now, and hope to be posting regularly soon again. So nice to know you. Keep up the fine work.
