Fire on the moors

This painting has been sold

Oil on hardboard 8" x 8"

Occasionally in the summer months when the bracken is very dry we sometimes get a fire on the moors overlooking the town. This one took place in 2006 and was quite a big one for us, posing a bit of a threat to the poeople living in the foothills.

Thanks Stephen.. this painting took a while to harmonize on a number of fronts but eventually I was satisfied that it had all come together.
