Stalybridge Homecare

This painting has been sold

This painting was done as a Christmas gift for Mike and Brenda Lillie who own Stalybridge Homecare. They have been so helpful and friendly to me over the years, solving all sorts of problems arising in my old Victorian house. Thank you Mike and Brenda and have a lovely Christmas and a successful New Year.

Sacred and Profane

This is a little industrial workshop in town which was probably once yet another row of terraced housing, but it struck me that day that it had the feeling and appearance of a church with the light coming through the side of the building there.

Night Train

This painting has been sold by the Millyard Gallery, Uppermill

It isn't night actually. It's late afternoon but like many of you in this hemisphere we only get about 6 hours daylight during the winter months. I stood on that platform over there, where the train is stationed, almost every working day for nearly twenty years in all weathers. I love trains though, so I didn't mind.

Urban development

This painting has been sold

This is the other side of the Castle Street development, turning old factories into apartment blocks. You can see the Stalybridge market clock tower in the distance.

Rififi Palace

It's my favourite building again. You can tell it should be a cinema and not a night club can't you?
